Jill's Story

As a SeniorI was President of the Art Club and worked on the newspaper. We artists were known for the backdrops of plays, dances, and for our christmas paintings on downtown business windows. But I went to the Senior prom in Lebanon because my fellow at the time went to school there. After school I worked and attended OSU for three years until my best guy, Joel Fosick, Jr. got home from Viet Nam. We married soon after and traveld a great deal with his work. Saw a lot of the world but both our children were born in Albany. Joel ended up being a two time Commissioner for Linn County. But while he made a splended husband he didn't do as well being a father. We divorced when our daugher and son were very young. I went to work...Expand for more
as an Elections Administrator, first for Linn County and later Benton County "stold" me. It is a profession that has held my insterest and challenged me for over 20 years. When I can get away I slip off to some eastern country to work for NATO in attempting to stamp out fraud. That can be interesting and a sometimes dangerous job, but I am doing my bit for people who want the same kind of voting privaliges we take for granted. With my children both finishing up their university degrees and living on their own I am at that wonderful time of life when we get to consider what might be fun to do for the next 20 or 30 years! The only thing I would not want to try once is parashooting! Everything else is worth trying one!
